Job Description

Primary responsibilities of position:

  • Obtain new business through the sale of product lines to customers. Cross-sell/refer products and services as appropriate to promote TCF as a full service bank. Meet or exceed defined sales goals.
  • Control all facility issues including security and branch appearance.
  • Ensure that staff provides effective sales oriented customer service to retain and expand the account base.
  • Provide effective sales coaching to al personnel.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled staff meetings and one-on-one sessions with direct reports.
  • Exercise good judgment and make appropriate decisions concerning staffing, training, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, and terminations in a timely manner.
  • Initiate, direct, implement and evaluate branch marketing to take advantage of local opportunities.
  • Control direct income and expenses to ensure compliance with branch goals. Operate within compensation guidelines while providing appropriate staffing level. Maintain audit/compliance procedures. Adhere to audit controls to consistently achieve satisfactory audit ratings.
  • Maintain appropriate controls to protect the Bank against fraudulent activity and losses; meet and adhere to corporate, legal, and regulatory policies,guidelines, and requirements regarding compliance

Required Skills:

Qualifications Required for position:

  • Two years previous related sales, retail or financial services work experience & one year previous supervisory or management experience.
  • Previous experience in goal driven environment & demonstrated ability to supervise and motivate others to obtain sales goals.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational skills; basic computer skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and direct others.
  • Demonstrated ability to market and sell all products and services.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution skills; ability to calmly diffuse and manage challenging situations. Educational, course work, or certification required:
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent Skills, qualifications, or education helpful, but not required:
  • Four year college degree or equivalent
  • Two to four years previous supervisory or management experience
