This position is located in Ohio, no relocation is available.

Purpose - Job Summary:
Performs assigned senior level disassembly, cleaning, inspection, test, preservation and reassembly tasks conducted in the process of repairing and returning to service turbine engines, modules or parts for which the repair station is rated. The incumbent is also responsible for customer service activities with regard to communicating the nature and extent of engine repairs and onsite interaction to satisfy customer requirements/expectations.

Using the ability to read and write English follows all required standards in the performance of assigned work displaying appropriate competencies in accordance with FAA Regulations, OEM manuals, and related materials.
Incumbent is required to meet all training requirements set out in a separate, but specific CLIENT Training Matrices chart for each job. Specific materials, training or publications the incumbent must have, or be familiar with include:

Visual Inspections

1.Disassemble, clean, inspect and perform repairs on various models of turbine engines, associated components and modules according to manufacturer requirements and CLIENT quality procedures.
2.Perform preliminary receiving inspection of engines, modules and components using required precision measuring equipment as necessary to determine condition.
3.Evaluate engine components per manufacturer criteria with calibrated precision measuring equipment to determine serviceability/reparability.
4.Inspect turbine engine components using non-destructive inspection methods such as fluorescent penetrant and magnetic particle machinery.
5.Utilize CLIENT controlled documents and computer databases to record pertinent data pertaining to components being inspected.
6.Assure that all inspections and repairs are properly performed according to current technical data and all inspection records and forms used by the repair station are properly executed prior to the release and return to service of the product being maintained.
7.Research aircraft and engine logs for current engines times and cycles to determine life limited component status, outstanding FAA Airworthiness Directives and compliance with as directed.
8.Complete all required logbook/FAA form 8130 entries of maintenance and repair per FAR 43.
9.Notify the immediate supervisor regarding any discrepancies such as blue print and diagram variances, and/or improper tag documentation as needed.

Type/Extent of Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Direct/Indirect Experience:
Should have more than five (5) years experience in gas turbine engine/components maintenance and repair.
Previous mechanic experience in the aerospace field on engines such as but not limited to Pratt and Whitney PT6, JT15D, or RR250 preferred, but not required.

Qualifications: (Including Licenses and Certifications)
FAA power plant license is required according to regulations and type of work.
PC proficiency in MS Office is also a plus.

Level of Decision Making/Problem Solving:
The employees are directly responsible to their Supervisor. All work actions are subject to progressive inspection. As a senior level mechanic may assist in cliently activities of lower level job family incumbents.
